Rules for Blackjack - Classic

Blackjack - Classic is a multi hand blackjack game. It is played with 8 standard decks of 52 cards. Number cards, 2-10, are face value. Kings, queens and jacks, are equal to the value of 10 and aces are valued at either 1 or 11.

The aim of the game is to beat the dealer’s hand. The dealer is dealt two cards, and you are dealt two cards per selected hand/s. Your cards are dealt face up, whilst only the dealer's first card is shown. You can choose an additional card by clicking HIT. You may repeat this as many times as you like, as long as the total of your cards, per selected hand, does not exceed 21. If the total exceeds 21, it is considered a "bust" and you automatically lose.

Once you are satisfied with the cards you are holding per selected hand/s, click STAND. After you are finished, it is the dealer's turn to reveal his faced down card and decide whether he would like to take another card. The dealer must have cards totalling 17 or more. If your card total is greater than the dealer's, or if the dealer busts, then you win and will get x1 your original bet.

If your card total is the same as the dealer, it is considered a "push" and you will not lose your bet.

Blackjack

If a 10-value card and an ACE card are initially dealt in any selected hand/s, it is considered Blackjack. You win 1.5 times your bet when you are dealt a Blackjack.

You lose if the dealer is dealt a Blackjack. If you and the dealer are dealt a Blackjack it is considered a ‘push’ and you will get your bet back.

If the dealer’s first card is a 10 value card, he will see if it is a Blackjack and reveal it immediately.

Insurance

If the visible card of the dealer is an ACE, you have the option to buy "Insurance" by betting an additional 0.5 times your initial bet.

If the dealer gets Blackjack after you have bought insurance, you will win 2 times your insurance bet. If the dealer does not get Blackjack, then you lose your insurance bet and the result of your initial bet is determined by the cards per hand you hold against the dealer's cards.

Splitting

If you are dealt two cards of the same value, you are entitled to "split" the cards and double your initial bet by playing two hands, one at a time. The first hand is dealt a second card and you must decide whether you want to STAND or take another card by pressing the HIT button. Once you have finished the first hand, you must move to the second, repeating the process.

If you split 2 aces, you’re only allowed to receive one card and then your hand is automatically forced to stick no matter what card you get.

When you split, if you receive a second card that can get you the sum of 21, it will not count as Blackjack. It will only count as 21.

Double Down

You may double your bet after viewing your initial two cards. You will then receive only one card to complete your hand. It is also possible to Double Down after a Split, except in the case of two aces.

10-Card Charlie

If you draw 10 cards in a single hand without going bust you automatically win, except when the dealer has Blackjack.

  • If the selected hand/s beat the dealer (without exceeding a total of 21), you win.
  • If the dealers hand is higher than the total number on your selected hand/s or your total cards are higher than 21, you lose.
  • If your hand/s is the same as the dealers, it is considered a ‘PUSH’ and you receive your bet amount for that hand back.
